School in Bolivia


The Safe Water School Project collaborates with schools in the fields of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). The Project was conducted in partnership with Antenna Technologies Foundation and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. It was launched in 2012 in 40 schools in Bolivia and 30 schools in Kenya. Since then, it has expanded to totally 143 schools: 78 in Bolivia, 30 in Kenya and 35 in Haiti.

Bolivia - Escuelas con Agua Segura

The Safe Water School project in Bolivia was headed by the Fundación SODIS and has been implemented with the strong collaboration of the local authorities in 46  schools in Tiquipaya and 32 schools in Independencia.

Kenya - Safe Water School

The Safe Water School Project in Kenya was implemented jointly with KWAHO in 30 schools. 20 primary schools are located in the Nyalenda and Manyatta slums of Kisumu, 10 primary schools are located in Narobi.

Haiti - Lékol Dlo San Danjé

The Project was active in 35 schools that have approximately 10,700 students in the Artibonite and Petit Goâves Regions. It was conducted by HSI Haiti and started in 2012 after receiving approval from the National Directorate for Water Supply and Sanitation (Dinepa).
